BUILT IN 1974 BY MITSUI SHIPBUILDING & ENGINEERING CO LTD. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY CLOCKWORK CORPORATION SA. PASSAGE BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS FOR PORT GENTIL, GABON. STRUCK REEFS AND GROUNDED 11 MILES N OF BERMUDA, ABOUT 1.5 MILES NW OF NORTH ROCK, HAVING DIVERTED TO BERMUDA WITH GENERATOR PROBLEMS. CARGO TANKS, ENGINE ROOM AND PUMP ROOM FLOODED. ABANDONED. REFLOATED ON 2 FEB AND DECLARED CTL. TOWED OFFSHORE AND SCUTTLED. THE MASTER HAD NO CHARTS OF THE AREA AND HE CLAIMED TO HAVE MISTOOK ONE BEACON FOR ANOTHER. (MSD).
