KEY IDENTIFYING FEATURES INDICATE THAT THIS IS THE U 40. THERE IS A LARGE AMOUNT OF DAMAGE TO THE PORT SIDE STERN OF THE SUBMARINE, WHICH CORRESPONDS WITH TORPEDO DAMAGE. CINC REQUESTED.
