ONE SUNK CLOSE INSHORE NEAR THE BATHING BEACH & PART OF ITS RUSTING HULL STILL SHOWS [1969] AT LW, THE OTHERS SANK ALONG THE LINE OF ROCKS & THEIR REMAINS ARE SCATTERED OVER A LARGE AREA. STILL BEING SALVAGED. (CORNISH SHIPWRECKS). NCA. H/ 18.9.70 18.9.70 SIX SUBS: UB106, UB112, UB128, UB86, UB97 & UC92. SOLD TO MESSRS ROSKELL & A.ROGERS IN MARCH/APRIL 1921. THEY HAVE CHANGED HANDS SEVERAL TIMES SINCE. POSN OF 5 SUBS GIVEN BY S.HUTCHINGS. (N/CP 53758/69). H1485/63 22.3.71 H1485/63 22.3.71 REMAINS OF ONLY ONE U BOAT VISIBLE AT LWS IN 500842.5N, 050302W [OGB]. SHOWING APPROX 5FT ABOVE CHART DATUM, HOWEVER THE HIGHEST POINT IS NOT HIGHER THAN THE GENERAL LEVEL OF SURROUNDING ROCKS & THE WEED COVERED METAL IS ONLY RECOGNISABLE AS SUCH ON VERY CLOSE INSPECTION.
