9 GERMAN SUBS ALLOCATED TO FALMOUTH FOR GUNNERY PRACTICE & EXPERIMENTS. 2 OUT OF 8 DELIVERED WERE DELIBERATELY SUNK. THE REMAINING 6, [16343], [16344], [16345] & [16346], WERE SWEPT ONTO ROCKS IN CASTLE DRIVE DURING A WINTER GALE IN 1921. (CORNISH SHIPWRECKS, VOL 1, SOUTH COAST). SEE [16341] - UB 97.
