BUILT IN 1893 BY J LAING LTD, SUNDERLAND. ONWED AT TIME OF LOSS BY ASSOCIATED OIL CARRIERS LTD. FOUR BOILERS, TRIPLE EXPANSION ENGINE OF 362 NHP, SINGLE SHAFT. MACHINERY BY G CLARK & CO, SUNDERLAND. PASSAGE SATIRE, TEXAS FOR BARROW. STRANDED ON WALNY ISLAND IN GALE. AFTER CONTINUOUS POUNDING BY SEA THERE WAS AN EXPLOSION AND THE SHIP BURST INTO FLAMES. 34 MEN DROWNED OR BURNED TO DEPTH. (SIBI).
