PASSAGE NEW YORK FOR LIVERPOOL. TORPEDOED AND SUNK BY U-50. CARGO INCLUDED 852 SILVER INGOTS, 132 BOXES OF FINE SILVER, 4,545,738 LBS OF EMPTY BRASS SHELL CASES, 3000 TONS OF STEEL, 2843 BALES OF COTTON AND 5400 SACKS OF MAIL. 6 CREW AND SIX PASSENGERS LOST.
